Cell Phone

My cell phone is kind of annoying. Why is the delete button for my voicemail "7", when it's "3" on my home phone and work phone.

Since it changes, I can never remember which button to press and I have to listen to the damn menu every time.

Is it any wonder that I hate listening to voicemail?
They're called usability standards people. Use them!

There are not usability standards for voice mail prompts. Every manufacturer has their own TUI (telephone user interface), which some feel differentiate them from the competitor's systems. It's similar to how a PC and MAC differ, so do different phone systems. You just need to learn how to use the system you bought!

(BTW, I hate the apple key :)

Ooh! That is such BS!! BS, BS, BS!

Sorry, Fern, but I think the telephone industry (probably minus you) is evil. I have never really had a good experience with a cell phone or land line company.

Usability standards might make that lot slightly less evil, but I guess when you're only being downgraded to "Dick Cheney" status from "Son of Satan" status, then I'm not sure how much incentive that is to act.
